Agents and Algorithms as Co-workers – impact on culture and compliance programs
Part II: Understanding Human Behavior
September 23 · Webinar
16.30-17.15 EEST
As AI agents increasingly become part of everyday working life, they do more than provide information or automate tasks. They interact with us and may influence our judgement, emotions and behaviour. At the same time, our own behaviours and responses influence how these systems are developed and used.
Understanding this interaction is important if we want to examine how working alongside AI may affect organisational culture, ethical decision-making and the work of Ethics & Compliance.
During the session, we’ll explore:
- How interaction with AI may influence human judgement, emotions and behaviour
- How people’s behaviour and responses influence the development and use of AI systems
- What human-AI interaction may mean for organisational culture
- Perspectives relevant to ethical decision-making and the work of Ethics & Compliance
Whether you are leading AI initiatives or helping your organization navigate governance and culture, this session will provide practical insights and an opportunity to join an important conversation.

Amit’s research bridges two interconnected areas focused on enhancing flourishing within groups and communities, reducing unhelpful emotions, and improving well-being. One line of his work examines group behavior, with specific attention to emotions and affective processes in social contexts. Through this work, I study how dynamics such as contagion and network structure shape group functioning. Building on the need to find scalable solutions for changing emotions, a second focus explores technology, particularly AI-driven systems, and their role in eliciting emotions and providing emotional support. As AI tools are increasingly adopted to address the growing well-being crisis, they offer a promising large-scale solution for enhancing emotional health while also posing challenges for human social relations. To address these questions, I combine behavioral experiments with computational modeling, applying lab-based insights to real-world contexts.
