Fair and equal treatment of employees was again identified as the most important aspect at work in the Nordic Business Ethics Survey 2020. There are research indicating that diverse teams perform better and that less diverse environments are more prone to corruption. We all have a role to play when it comes to securing diversity and inclusion at our workplaces! An inclusive workplace celebrates the value from different perspectives, backgrounds and profiles.

We will host a live streamed EthicsTalk show together with our collaboration partners DLA Piper and MySpeaker.

We have invited as our guest Lynn Haaland, Elizabeth Wilks-Wood and Matti Ylä-Mononen jo join the talk. Lynn is the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Zoom Video Communications, with a background in law enforcement prosecuting sex offense and domestic violence cases. Matti is the CEO of DLA Piper in Finland. Elizabeth is the Vice President of Compliance at Carlsberg Group

Lynn Haaland, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Zoom Video Communications

Lynn Haaland is the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Zoom Video Communications. Previously, she served as a consultant and former SVP, PepsiCo Deputy General Counsel Global Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer and Chief Counsel, Cybersecurity at PepsiCo. Prior to joining PepsiCo in 2016, Lynn served as a federal prosecutor in the District of Columbia and the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA).

Elizabeth Wilks-Wood
Vice President Compliance
Carlsberg Group

Elizabeth Wilks-Wood is a barrister, who started her legal career in Ofcom and the European Commission. She has almost 20 years’ experience advising companies, from incumbents, to new entrants in Europe, Middle East and the Caribbean. As Group Compliance Director of Royal Mail, her team was awarded “In House Compliance Team of the Year” by WIC. Later that year, as Compliance Director for the Ritz Hotel Casino, the company was awarded “Socially Responsible Operator of the Year”. In July 2019, Elizabeth moved to Denmark, to lead the global compliance programme for the Carlsberg Group.

Matti Ylä-Mononen, CEO of DLA Piper in Finland

Matti Ylä-Mononen is CEO of DLA Piper in Finland and a member of the Nordic management team and board of DLA Piper. Matti he has significant experience in working as a partner and leader in international law firm. Matti is a transaction lawyers by trade, and he has practiced in the legal industry for some 30 years and observed the progression and changes with regard diversity and inclusion in the industry.

Anna & Niina, Founders of the Nordic Business Ethics Initiative

The founders of the Nordic Business Ethics Network, Anna Romberg and Niina Ratsula will moderate the discussion with the guests on different aspects of diversity and inclusion. We will not only talk about diversity in terms of gender, sexual orientation or race but also in terms of diverse skill sets.
