Together with our panel of experts, we will present and reflect on the key findings of this year’s survey. The panel discussions will be moderated by Niina Ratsula, co-founder of NBE.

The Nordic Ethics & Compliance Survey provides benchmarking data and valuable insights into how compliance work is structured across Nordic companies. This year, we’ve expanded the survey with new questions and included reflections from 15 in-depth interviews with leading Ethics & Compliance professionals in the region.

Experts speaking at the event

Georg Abusdal Engebretsen, partner at
Wiersholm

Georg specialises in assisting Norwegian and international enterprises and public institutions in compliance and investigations. He has extensive experience and expert knowledge in a wide range of compliance law matters in a number of business sectors , including technology, industry and shipping. Georg is also an experienced litigator and has, among other things, litigated cases concerning infringement penalties under the Norwegian Competition Act. He is often used as a lecturer both in Norway and abroad. He has for many years been a member of the compliance committee of the Center for Continuing Legal Education.

Georg has several times been ranked as one of Norway’s best lawyers in investigation and compliance in the Norwegian Financial Daily’s annual lawyers survey, both on the main list and as winner in the up & coming category. He is also individually ranked by Chambers & Partners.

Jannicke Eilertsen, Head of Compliance at Front Ocean Management AS

Jannicke is employed in Front Ocean Management AS serving as Head of Compliance in Frontline, Flex LNG and SFL Corporation. Jannicke holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo and studied maritime laws at the University of Southampton. Jannicke worked at Advokatfirmaet Wiersholm as a Senior Associate in the Compliance and Investigations department. At Wiersholm, Jannicke worked with several privately and publicly owned companies on cross-border matters concerning compliance related issues, such as anti-bribery and corruption, human rights and sanctions. Also, Jannicke has experience from the FD&D department at Gard (UK) Ltd in London and from Rolls-Royce Marine AS.

Niina Ratsula, Co-Founder of Nordic Business Ethics Initiative

Niina is a co-founder of Nordic Business Ethics Initiative and at this time the driving force behind Nordic Business Ethics Survey.

Niina has supported numerous global and local organizations with governance and compliance related matters as a leader and through her own company.

Niina has received several acknowledgements for her work as a key note speaker and business ethics influencer. She is also an author of several business ethics and governance related books. Key conclusion of her PhD was that organizational culture plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of compliance programs.

Niina believes that we should have more uncomfortable conversations at work to enable more responsible work life.
